Why CO2 Wall?

Why Co2wall is better than trees and forests

  • Although trees and forests have a high Co2 uptake have even higher than that of the Co2wall, they negate their Co2 reduction because they lose leaves and these leaves combined with decaying wood, in turn, create large Co2 emissions.

  • Because the Co2wall has a well-considered selection vegetation of exclusively leafy plants, there is only Co2 reduction and no emission.

The Co2 (sound) wall

Co2wall's core business is making metres, metres that make for improvement. You know all those old ugly concrete sound barriers, often covered in graffiti and heavily polluted. The concrete absorbs a lot of heat (surface temperature 65-70 degrees) and radiates it at night, causing the ambient temperature to rise, and the cooling eventually causes the concrete construction to crack. The sound is stopped but reflected, amplifying the noise on the highway itself.
Until Today! Besides co2 and particulate matter reduction, the concrete will no longer heat up so it will no longer radiate and crack. Graffiti will also decrease because there is simply no substrate for it. Also, 45% of noise is absorbed by the plants. Finally, the natural look promotes the road user's driving pleasure.

Solar parks

Productie & montage

The Co2wall elements are produced domestically Co2 neutral and use a durable UV and weather-resistant plastic of which 40% comes from recycled raw materials.
No heavy equipment is needed for assembly either. This minimises the CO2 footprint. All this results in the greatest possible efficiency.

CO2 Wall Irrigation System

In collaboration with Grundfos and Siemens, among others, we have developed a completely self-sufficient irrigation system that monitors the entire Co2wall 24/7 based on solar panels and a Grundfos well pump. The system monitors the moisture content per layer and ensures that it remains optimal so that as much CO2 as possible is demanded by the vegetation. If the temperature falls below 5 degrees Celsius, the system automatically disposes of water by means of a valve. A 5G connection allows remote monitoring, and any received messages are automatically sent to the desired medium. This system ensures that we can also provide dry remote areas with a CO2 wall, even a desalination installation can be linked to this system if desired.

Every Co2wall equipped with our irrigation system can be easily monitored remotely using a 5G connection. Among other things, water pressure, voltage and temperature can be read via the app, which will also send push notifications if there is a malfunction somewhere in the system. The app provides a clear picture and location of the system.

What Does CO2Wall Mean for Companies

As is well known, companies are obliged to go green, and being climate neutral is usually the goal. 2030 is here as a reference date. CO2Wall is not only CO2 compensating but also ensures a healthy, pleasant working environment, and various subsidies will become available to make the installation even more attractive. Co2 Wall contributes significantly to the BREEAM and LEAD scores and is also fire-resistant, something that cannot be said of solar panels. For example, the installation of solar panels is also gaining increasing resistance. The system is also suitable for larger indoor companies, thus creating a healthy and stylish indoor climate.

What Does CO2Wall Mean for The Hague

• CO2 is an important point not only in the Netherlands or Europe but also far beyond. It is therefore not for nothing that The Hague has made 23 billion euros available to reduce CO2 emissions.

• There is already about 7.2 million m2 of government infrastructure available on which our product can be mounted without any problems; we quickly calculated 26,640 tons of CO2 per year.

• The Hague also encounters CO2 with their projects, such as widening national roads. We can certainly make a difference in this.
